Yamaha DHR12 12" Powered Speaker

The Yamaha DHR12 is a 1,000-watt powered speaker with a 12-inch woofer in a proper plywood cabinet — clean, loud and built for regular hire work. Two of these on stands will cover a party or presentation for around 150 people.

Specifications

• 1,000 W Class-D amplification, 12" woofer and 1" throat compression driver
• 130 dB max SPL
• Frequency range 48 Hz – 20 kHz (−10 dB)
• 90° × 60° dispersion with a rotatable horn for upright or sideways use
• FIR-X tuning and D-CONTOUR dynamic processing
• Two combo XLR/jack inputs (one with RCA pair); XLR output as link-through or mix
• Plywood cabinet, 19.2 kg; two pole sockets at 0° or −7°, plus rigging points

What you get

• Yamaha DHR12 with mains lead
• Speaker stands, microphones and cabling available alongside — tell us what's plugging in

Worth knowing before you book

• The RCA inputs take a phone, laptop or DJ controller directly, and the second channel takes a microphone — so a pair is a complete party system without a separate mixer.
• The −7° pole socket tilts the speaker down towards the audience, which keeps sound off the ceiling and back wall in halls and marquees.
• It's a solid wooden box at around 19 kg, so it's a two-handed lift onto a stand — our wind-up stands make that easier.
• For a dance floor or a band, add a subwoofer; for speech-only events, a pair is usually all you need.

Ideal for

• Parties and receptions for up to 150 guests
• Presentations and speeches
• Bands and acoustic acts as tops or wedges
• Village halls and marquees
