A lighting plan follows the running order.
A room does not need one look, it needs four. Getting the transitions right is most of the job, and it is the part that separates a designed rig from a pile of fixtures on stands.
Send your venue photos, ceiling height and music style and we will recommend a setup — including when a smaller rig will do the job better.

We buy dependable, professional lighting rather than the cheapest thing that makes colour. It has to survive a season of load-ins and still look right on the night.

Discreet until it isn't
Colour-matched uplighting, warm ambience through dinner and speeches, then a dancefloor that changes the room in one cue. Setup kept visually tidy so the venue still looks like the venue.
We will also talk you out of things. Most couples are quoted more fixtures than the room needs.
Output and turnaround
High-output moving heads and effects, scene-based control with clean cueing, safe cable management and a crew who work to your timings rather than their own.
Tight changeovers and late de-rigs are normal for us, not an exception to negotiate.

How many uplighters do we need?
It depends on the size and shape of the room rather than a fixture count. As a rough guide a typical marquee or function room takes somewhere between twelve and twenty for an even wash without gaps. Send us the venue plan and we will spec from that rather than guessing — and we will say so if fewer will look better.
Can you do lighting outdoors?
Yes. We use IP-rated fixtures for anything exposed — tree and facade lighting, entrances, courtyards and marquee exteriors — along with the power distribution and weatherproofed cable runs to feed them.
Do we need haze for beam effects?
Effectively, yes. Beams and aerial looks are invisible without something in the air for the light to catch. We use haze rather than smoke, which is far more venue-friendly, but always check with your venue first as some have detectors that will not tolerate it.
Can we hire lighting without an operator?
Yes. Dry hire is available, and delivered rigs can be pre-programmed with scenes you trigger yourself. For anything with cues tied to a running order — a first dance, an awards sequence, a set change — an operator earns their fee.
Do you supply lasers?
Yes, professional laser systems as part of a planned setup rather than as a standalone drop-off. They are supplied and positioned responsibly, with the correct safety separation from the audience.

Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and the wider East of England from our base near Diss, including Norwich, Ipswich, Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds and Colchester. We travel further for larger productions.
