Riders and guest DJs

The pro’s rider, or your mate’s first set.

Booked a DJ with a rider?

Send us the rider or the stage plan and we’ll supply the players, the mixer, the booth and the sound to match. If your DJ is bringing their own gear, we’ll confirm exactly what they need to plug into before the day.

Best for club nights, festivals, weddings with a booked DJ

A friend doing a set?

The DDJ-FLX4 is far friendlier than club CDJs, and the simple two-channel DJM-350 records the set to a memory stick. We’ll show them the basics when we set up, or talk them through it on the phone.

Best for weddings, birthdays, house parties

The rest of the booth

Speakers, lights and a stage to match.

A DJ is only as good as the speakers they’re playing through. We size the sound to the room and the crowd, and add lights that run themselves to the music.

Speakers

Tops and subs that hold up for a full dancefloor without distorting at 11pm, from a pair of SOUNDBOKS to a full PA. Speaker hire

Lights

MaestroDMX runs a full rig to the music with no operator, and the Party Bar lights a dancefloor from one stand. Lighting hire · Uplighting

Staging

A DJ riser or a full stage, with steps and handrails, so the booth is seen and the crowd stays off the decks. Stage hire

Before you ask

DJ equipment hire questions.

Can I hire Pioneer CDJ-3000s?
Yes. The CDJ-3000 is Pioneer’s flagship media player, with a 9-inch touchscreen, rekordbox and Serato compatibility, Pro DJ Link, and USB and network playback. Most DJs want a pair, with a DJM-A9, DJM-900NXS2 or DJM-V10 mixer.
Which mixer does my DJ’s rider need?
Whichever it names. The DJM-900NXS2 is on more riders than any other mixer, the DJM-A9 is the desk most touring riders now specify, and the six-channel DJM-V10 is there for riders that ask for one. Send us the rider and we’ll match it.
Do you hire turntables?
Yes. Our Technics SL-1210s come with cartridge, stylus, slipmat and RCA lead, ready to mix, and pair with our DJM-350, DJM-900NXS2 or DJM-V10. For vinyl sets that don’t need the Technics badge, the Numark TT-100 is a budget direct-drive alternative.
What’s easiest for a guest DJ at a wedding?
The Pioneer DDJ-FLX4. It plugs into a laptop running rekordbox or Serato (the free versions work), Smart Fader keeps the mixing tidy, and it’s powered from the laptop’s USB. It comes with the leads to our speakers. Add a laptop or bring your own.
Can guests play music from their phones?
Yes. The Reloop RMX-30 BT has Bluetooth built in, so a playlist can sit on one channel while a DJ plays on the others. The DJM-A9 has a Bluetooth input too.
Do you supply the speakers and lights too?
Yes. We size the speakers to the room and the crowd, and add lights that run to the music: the JB Systems Party Bar for a simple dancefloor, or MaestroDMX to run a full rig with no operator. See speaker hire and lighting hire.
Can I collect DJ equipment myself?
Yes. Dry hire is collected from our base near Diss, PAT tested and in cases or covers, with the right leads. Or we deliver and set up the booth with the sound and lights, with delivery priced by distance.
How much does DJ equipment hire cost?
Each item’s day rate is on its product page. Delivery is priced by distance and shown in your quote before you book. Send the date, the venue and what you need, and we’ll quote within one working day.
Which areas do you cover?
We’re based near Diss on the Norfolk–Suffolk border and cover Norfolk and Suffolk, including Norwich, Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft, Thetford and King’s Lynn. Further afield on request; see areas we cover.
