AV & event hire · Great Yarmouth
Sound, lighting and production in Great Yarmouth.
Seafront events, hotel functions, holiday park entertainment, conferences and weddings — supplied, rigged and run by a crew based around forty miles down the road, not four hours away.
The town
A resort town makes specific demands.
Great Yarmouth is not a generic market town with a function room. It is a working seaside resort with a season, a seafront, and a set of technical problems that come with both.
Wind, salt and weather
Anything on or near the seafront is exposed. Wind loading on staging, banners and any covered structure stops being a formality and becomes the thing that decides whether you build at all.
We use IP-rated fixtures where equipment is exposed, weather protection over control and amplifier positions, and build to sensible wind limits. If conditions cross a safety threshold we say so early.
The summer squeeze
Between roughly May and September the town runs at capacity, and so does every local supplier. Load-in windows tighten, parking becomes genuinely difficult, and short-notice availability disappears.
Booking early matters more here than almost anywhere else we work. Out of season the same date is usually straightforward.
Hotels to open air
The town covers hotel function suites, holiday park entertainment rooms, the racecourse, community halls and open seafront sites — each with completely different power, access and noise conditions.
We spec from the actual site rather than a package list, and will tell you when a smaller system is the right answer.

Common questions
AV hire in Great Yarmouth, answered.
Do you deliver to Great Yarmouth?
Yes. We deliver, rig, tune and collect across Great Yarmouth and the wider Norfolk coast from our base near Diss, around forty miles away. Delivery is quoted with the job rather than added as a surprise. You can also collect as a dry hire if you would rather run it yourself.
Can you supply sound for an outdoor event on the seafront?
Yes, and it is worth planning properly. Outdoors there is nothing to reflect off, so systems need real headroom and careful aiming to reach the audience without carrying across the town. We handle power distribution, weather protection and, where a licence sets one, work to a dB limit.
How far in advance should we book for a summer date?
Great Yarmouth in season is the tightest availability we deal with. For a summer weekend, three to six months is sensible. Midweek and off-season dates are often available at far shorter notice — always worth asking.
Do you work with hotels and holiday parks?
Yes. We work alongside in-house AV where it exists and replace it where it does not, and we supply the certificates, risk assessments and method statements venues ask for before you arrive. Just put us in touch with their events team.
Can you provide a sound engineer as well as the equipment?
Yes. Engineers and technicians are quoted per event day, covering setup, sound check, the event itself and de-rig. For a live band, a complex running order or an event with many microphones we would recommend one.
Is your equipment insured and tested?
All equipment is PAT tested on a 12-month cycle and we carry £10m public liability cover. Certificates and risk assessments go straight to your venue on request.
