How much does an AV repair cost?
Every job is bench-tested first and you receive a written quote before any chargeable work starts. If you decide not to go ahead with the repair, an inspection fee may apply — the form asks you to acknowledge that up front so there are no surprises.
How long does a repair take?
The workshop aims to reply by email within two working days of receiving your form, to confirm the job and the logistics. Turnaround after that depends on the fault and on parts availability. If you have a show date, put it in the “date you need it back by” field and mark the request as urgent.
Do you repair hi-fi and home audio, or only professional gear?
The workshop's core is professional sound, lighting and DJ equipment, but home hi-fi — integrated amplifiers, receivers, powered subwoofers, studio monitors — is assessed on the same bench. Send the form with the make, model and fault and we'll tell you quickly whether it's a job we can take on.
Can I drop the equipment off?
Yes, by arrangement: near Diss on the Norfolk–Suffolk border, or direct to the PCN Electronics workshop in Saxmundham. Send the form first. The address and a time slot are confirmed once the job is booked in, and unannounced deliveries can't be accepted or logged against a job.
I'm not in Norfolk or Suffolk. Can you still help?
Yes. Tracked, insured courier collection and return is available anywhere in the UK. Choose “courier collection” on the form and add your postcode; the collection is arranged once your request has been confirmed.
Who actually does the work?
MAV Hire manages the booking, drop-off and courier arrangements. The bench work is carried out by PCN Electronics Ltd, an electronics repair specialist in Saxmundham, Suffolk, working to component level. You get one point of contact and a written quote from the workshop.
Do you offer servicing contracts for venues and hire companies?
Yes. Scheduled maintenance for venues, rental houses and production companies is available, including whole-rack or whole-fleet inspections before a season, a tour or a stock audit, with priority turnaround. Mention it in the notes on the form.
