A two-channel passive DI box that turns the unbalanced output of a laptop, DJ controller or keyboard into a clean, balanced feed for the PA — and gets rid of the hum and buzz you get from long unbalanced leads.

Specifications

2-channel passive DI box
Transformer-isolated
Jack inputs, balanced XLR outputs
Ground-lift switching to kill hum
Supplied with 3.5 mm and RCA leads

What you get

Palmer stereo DI box
3.5 mm and RCA leads for laptops, phones and DJ gear
XLR cables to the mixer available alongside

Worth knowing before you book

Unbalanced leads pick up hum over long runs; a DI at the source converts to balanced XLR that can run the length of the room cleanly.
If a laptop buzzes when it's on charge, the ground-lift switch is usually the cure.
Being passive, it needs no batteries or phantom power.

Ideal for

Laptops playing music or video sound
DJ controllers and mixers into a PA
Keyboards and electronic instruments
Any long cable run with hum problems
