ChamSys MagicQ Compact Mini Connect

The ChamSys MagicQ Mini Connect is a compact USB playback wing for the full MagicQ software, running on a laptop or our Mac mini. Ten playback faders, an onboard DMX output and a built-in network port that unlocks up to 64 universes make it a serious controller in a carry-on-sized package.

Specifications

• 10 playback faders across up to 500 pages
• Up to 64 universes over the built-in network interface — no extra licences or dongles
• 1 direct 5-pin DMX output, RDM capable
• Connects to a PC or Mac and is powered over USB-C
• 33 x 20 x 4.5 cm, 1.85 kg — fits airline hand-luggage rules

What you get

• ChamSys MagicQ Mini Connect with USB-C cable
• Our Mac mini lighting computer with screen, keyboard and mouse available alongside
• DMX and network cables, plus Showtec Art-Net nodes, on request
• A lighting operator available for the show

Worth knowing before you book

• The Mini Connect needs a computer running MagicQ. Bring your own, or hire our Mac mini set up and ready.
• Send us your show file before the day, and we'll check it loads and patches correctly.
• Need more hands-on control? The larger Compact Connect has eight attribute encoders and a second DMX output.
• For a few uplighters, a simple DMX controller is much easier than a full MagicQ setup.

Ideal for

• Live band and festival lighting
• Theatre and touring shows
• Corporate and awards production
• Any rig too big for a simple controller

Available for dry hire from our base near Diss, or delivered and set up across Norfolk and Suffolk. See also lighting controller hire, lighting hire and event lighting.
